Let's make sure it makes sense.

Montgomery County is growing and that's a good thing. More people are choosing to call our community home because this is a great place to live, work, and raise a family.  Growth, however, must be managed responsibly.

I have been actively involved in a rezoning case where a developer sought to bring an apartment complex to Meriwether Rd. Some of my potential constituents will know me from knocking door to door in November, '25, with the petition to bring to the city council members. Due to our hard work in proving the serious traffic and safety concerns, that project was denied. The decision wasn't about stopping growth. It is about ensuring our infrastructure can safely support it.

Before additional housing is approved in District 20, I am adamant that key roadway projects like Tylertown Road and Trenton Road must be completed first. Traffic congestion is already a daily frustration across many parts of our county, and District 20 is no exception.

The Spring Creek Parkway project will help relieve some of that congestion, but we must continue to think long term. Developers will always push for more, and that's expected. What matters is that city and county leaders speak up on behalf of current residents and make decisions that makes sense for everyone.

Smart growth means building at the right time, in the right places, with safety, traffic flow, and quality of life at the forefront- for the neighbors who live here now and for those who will join our community in the future. We are stronger together.
